STUDENT LEADERS PARTICIPATE IN JUICI BEEF LEADERSHIP SESSIONS
With Golden Agers
On Tuesday, we had presentations from Leahcim Semaj on career choices and leadership. There was also a panel discussion where the floor was open for us to speak on any issue.
During lunch, there was a dining etiquette session recapping what was learnt on Monday. On Wednesday, we went to the Golden Age Home where we groomed and entertained the elderly.
On Thursday we went to the May Pen Hospital where we painted and planted crops near the male ward.
Finally, on Friday, we had various speakers from volunteer organizations such as Angels of Love and the Red Cross, who spoke to us on continuing with volunteerism.
We received certificates of participation and we were also among a group of students who received awards (a Juici Patties bag and water bottle) for going above and beyond while volunteering.
I believe the school should seek to continue sending students to this workshop as it is a valuable learning and revision exercise.
