Literature is a body of written works. The name has traditionally been applied to those imaginative works of poetry and prose distinguished by the intentions of their authors and the perceived aesthetic excellence of their execution.The course seeks to develop in students the ability to understand fully what they listen to, read and view, as well as to express themselves clearly in speech and in writing. Literature seeks to develop students' ability to read and enjoy literature texts, to explore social and moral issues and to evaluate the way language grows, develops and is used.
