Service Clubs at Immaculate

Our Service Clubs teach life values and how to love one another. Through volunteerism and the teachings of Christ our students will learn to be good samaritans and leave their mark on the world.

Our Services Include:

• Campus Ministry

  In Campus Ministry it' always the Year of the Lord. The Ministry has produced many successes in our Lord' name. Members make weekly visits to the Bustamante Children' Hospital, Ozanam Home for the Aged, and the Salvation Army.

• Girl Guides

  Maintaining the tradition of total development of young women, the Girl Guides of Immaculate facilitate a wide variety of activities such as camping, hiking, making gadgets and conducting cookie sales, the proceeds of which are given to charity.

• I.C.E.

  The Immaculate High school Environmentalists is a member of the Students Environment Network (SEN) which operates under the ambit of the Jamaica Environmental Trust. Club projects include beach cleanups, the renovation of the School' Greenhouse, the bottle-recycling project, the formation of an organic compost heap and the planting of a vegetable garden.

  Members from the Immaculate Conception Environmentalist Club (ICE) conducted an outreach project with Happy Hearts Basic School on Tuesday , February 11th 2014. Students were educated on the importance of protecting the environment and also got an opportunity to draw their own tree and all the things it needed to survive.

• I.S.C.F

  The Immaculate Conception High School Inter -Schools' Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational Christian group that truly lives up to our motto: “To Know Christ and to Make Him Known.” Our society consists of approximately 80 members who are not only passionate about the lord, but perfectly epitomize the school's motto: “Ad Astra Per Aspera”, translated to mean, “Through Difficulties to Excellence.”

  We are well known to be one of the most active societies in our school and as of such we aim to help build the ladies of Immaculate. Aside from our general meetings hosted every Wednesday, we develop our god given talents in small ministries, such as “The Essence of Praise” our choir, "Ignite the Acts" our drama, poetry and mime ministry, as well as our dance ministry popularly known as “The Jesus Dance Force.” We strongly believe in charity and as of such we have our outreach ministry who readily assist persons in need. To build our faith, we have weekly bible studies coupled with prayer and fasting meetings in the school's chapel.

  We periodically have exciting events such as marches, referred to as “Jesus-strations,” our Sport’s Day, Christmas Concert, and our well known I.S.C.F week. We also readily participate in the annual Miss Immaculate Pageant, where we have had two representatives for the years 2014 and 2015.

  We are also proud to be a part of regional organization, where we actively participate in beneficial activities such as leadership and discipleship camps, walk-a-thons and rally. For our constant participation and support we were recently awarded for and noted to be the most active I.S.C.F. group in the eastern region of the island.

  We the young ladies of I.S.C.F. strongly believe that through Christ we shall overcome our difficulties and attain excellence.

• Angels of Love

  Angels of Love Jamaica, is a Jamaican registered, non-governmental,non-political,non-profitable, charitable organization of kind hearted persons with the same "AIM" in mind. This aim characterizes our human dedication to assist in providing life saving treatment, health care, education and supporting services. The services of this organization are to benefit disadvantaged, under privileged and vulnerable children in Jamaica with physical, mental or emotional pain but not being heard.

  As an Immaculate chapter we participate in annual Christmas retreats, chapter meetings and frequent visits to the Bustamante Children's Hospital. We also take part in fundraisers to raise money for these or angels such as: coin drives, toy drives and bake sales.

• I.S.E.T.H.

  I.S.E.T.H. stand for the Immaculate Science Environment Technology Health Club

• Key Club

  The Key Club is involved in projects such as Christmas Treat for young A.I.D.S. victims at the. Dare to CareCchildren' home, school clean-ups, visits to golden age homes, church services, inter-clubbing with other schools and organizing fundraisers for several charities.

• Paws

  September 25, 2000 marked the commencement of the PAWS. PAWS has gained support for its fast-from-meat days, providing homes for pets, as well as its monetary donations to JSPCA (Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

• I.C.H.S Savings Society

  The I.C.H.S Savings Society is geared towards promoting saving among the Immaculate school body for life's unexpected obstacles. We achieve this through the C.O.K Credit Union, because as members we are given the opportunity to save using this medium. We also participate in activities that encourage saving such as: making your own lunch and "Do It Yourself" activities from recycled materials.

• The United Nations Club

  The I.C.H.S United Nations Club is a service club that follows the tenets and goals of the United Nations. Our aim is to arouse awareness within the school population about the mission and work of the UN. The I.C.H.S United Nations Club aims to improve the conditions of the indigent and also to promote sustainable development within the school and even the wider society through our outreaches.

• Red Cross Society

  The Red Cross Society at The prestigious Immaculate Conception High School joins with the Red Cross Society of Jamaica which aims to protect the life and health of oneself and others while giving aid and comfort to the sick and suffering. Contrary to most beliefs, we do not wait help persons only when they are sick. We strive to keep persons, especially the youth, abreast to illnesses and diseases that they may or not know that they are susceptible to while enforcing the importance of visiting one's doctor regularly.

• The Interact Club

  Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. At Immaculate, students from grade 10 onwards, are eligible to join. Clubs benefit from sponsorship by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance. Our sponsor club is the Rotary Club of North St. Andrew . Interact's name is a combination of the words international and action.

• Tourism Action Club

  The Tourism Action Club of I.C.H.S, in attempt to fulfill aims and objectives of the constitution of Tourism Clubs set by the Jamaica Tourist Board, undertook a clean-up project in November of the year 2013. The third objective of the TAC constitution requires clubs to ‘develop programmes to meet the needs of its members in keeping with developmental goals and the aspirations of the nation’. Through an organized geography room and garbage clean up the girls were taught the importance of having respect for the environment and keeping one’s surrounding clean, a quality that we hope they maintain when they leave this wonderful institution to contribute to the nations development." - President Janiel Wright.
