Kingston, Jamaica –January 7, 2019- The fourth, biennial Immaculate Conception High School Hall of Fame Benefit Banquet will be held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Saturday, March 23, 2019, under the distinguished patronage of Mrs. Mariame McIntosh Robinson, President and CEO of First Global Bank.
The prestigious event and one of the largest fundraisers for Immaculate Conception High School will continue under the theme: Learn, Lead, Lift, and will honour seven outstanding community leaders in diverse areas.
Mrs. McIntosh Robinson, who is Patron for the first time, stated, “Now, more than ever, ICHS’s Hall of Fame is relevant and needs your support…students are falling by the wayside because they cannot afford to stay in school…we must support the next generation in order for Jamaica to survive. And in so doing we seek to honour people who are the best examples for the young – I therefore congratulate the seven persons who will be inducted into the 2019 Hall of Fame - they model, leadership, commitment, and solid hard work…virtues we strive to impart to our young people”
The Hall of Fame 2019 is proud to honour six ICHS alumnae and one of Jamaica’s outstanding business leaders.

Ms. Bubb Clarke, Mrs. Bennett-Murray, Mrs. Ho Lung, Dr. Scott, Ms. Staas and Mrs. Salter are proud graduates of ICHS and have remained connected to the school and its welfare.
Senator Don Wehby, CD, is a well-respected global business leader and community advocate, whose mother and sister attended ICHS. Senator Wehby was also the Hall of Fame’s first Patron.
The G. Raymond Chang Award pays tribute to the late G. Raymond Chang, O.J., and O.C., a leading benefactor of ICHS, and himself a business leader and philanthropist.
According to President of the ICHS Alumnae Association, Jamaica Chapter, Keisha Ann Down, since its inception in 2013, the Hall of Fame has raised over J$5Million Dollars and has awarded seven scholarships to bright, promising students, who otherwise would not have been able to complete their tertiary studies in Jamaica. She further stated: “It is a reality that there are dozens more students who just cannot afford to go further because of funding.”
She further stated: “The Hall of Fame also pays tribute to and honours the learning that takes place at ICHS, the women who go on to lead remarkable lives and the inevitable mentoring and leadership that lifts the next generation of leaders.”
Immaculate Conception High School has been a leading and well-respected educational institution for over 160 years and is known worldwide. Its committed faculty and staff have educated thousands of young women in Jamaica and from around the world, many of whom have gone on to make an indelible mark in their respective fields.
The ICHS Hall of Fame 2019 is chaired by Donette Chin-Loy Chang, with Co-Chairs, Carol Anglin and Angela Patterson.
